ADORABLE BABY ZACHARY!
So here is a cute Benjamin story. He was trying to flush the toilet, but the handle was broken. When he pushed it down it just jiggled and did nothing. He tried a bunch of times to no avail then threw up his hands in frustration and exclaimed "Awww Dang It! The batteries are dead!"
The other day at the ATM Kimberly told me the following, "Mom did you know that when you get money from the machine it sends it's magic through the air into my hands and gives me Super Strawberry Powers to kill monsters?" Later that night there was a car tailgating us and she said that the car was driving to close. I asked her if she would use her Super Strawberry Powers to make him back off and in her best YOU IDIOT voice she replied, "Mom. Strawberry Powers don't do that. " Then she sat pensive for a moment and followed up with, "But they do make me see really really far away. Don't tell anyone though. My Super Strawberry powers are a secret!" Since then I am chastised if I bring it up in front of anyone who doesn't already know about her secret powers. Good thing she can't read this blog post. :)
The days have been getting hotter. We've had some in the high 90's already! :( It's only APRIL! But I suppose that is what I get for living in AZ. I am having an open house right now and the past hour has been a little slow so I thought I'd update while I have nothing to do.
Basically everyone is doing well. We had a buyer for our house and he couldn't get his financing so we had to put it back up. That is a bummer. I hate having to keep the house show clean. But I do have 4 buyers I'm working with right now, so if all goes well hopefully we can get some money saved by the end of the summer and get Alan a little car to drive around.
The kids are driving me nuts a little. I guess it is the age. Someone should have warned me that having a 2 year old who acts like a 2 year old at the same time you have a 4 year old who acts like a 14 year old was a bad idea. Zachary is a mama's boy and has a hard time with me not holding him. If he can't see or hear me it's fine but the second I come into view he cries. Sweet little turd! And he is so skinny! Just like Benjamin. He only has 1 chin and you can see his neck. So odd in an infant.
Kimberly is taking the early entrance exam for Kindergarten in a couple of weeks. Her birthday is only 2 weeks past the cut-off, but I think she and I will both go nuts if she has to wait a whole extra year. Hopefully she gets in. Benjamin is pretty much the cutest "naughty" kid I know. He grins at you and giggles while causing mayhem so he usually gets away with it. Alan just finished a class today so he gets a 2 week break from school. That will be nice.
