Catching Up.

Wow, I skipped the whole month of May. And I feel like so much happened that I can't possibly record it all. But i'll do my best.

We sold our house! We were able to close a little early even. Now we are living in my mom's basement....again. We put offers on 2 houses and got out bid. This week we put in our 3rd offer and I have been told by the listing agent that they are going to accept it. I don't have the paperwork yet though, so I'll believe it when I see it. The home is a short sale so we probably won't be moving in any time soon even if our offer is accepted.

Benjamin turned 3 on May 22nd. Though he still looks like he is 1 1/2. :) But, he is starting to get easier to understand! Everybody was sick the week of his birthday so we didn't invite anyone to celebrate but family. We set up the slip n' slide. The whole month before his birthday he kept telling us he wanted a "chocolate birthday". So he had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate icecream. He was a happy camper.

Kimberly graduated from preschool. They had a cute little program and she got a certificate. The ladybug crown is because it was "Leah's Ladybug Preschool". More importantly, as most of you probably know, she got into Kindergarten! I am so relieved. I think she is very ready and I may be able to salvage what is left of my sanity without her and Benjamin fighting all day.

I took Zachary to the doctor for shots and a check-up. They were very concerned about his weight. He was in like the 1st % for weight but the 50% for height. I have never been able to get him to take formula, but the Dr. told me that he had to stop breastfeeding because he wasn't getting enough. It took a few days of refusing to give him breast milk but he eventually took the formula. Now he eats like crazy. I feel so bad. He was literally starving to death, but he never complained so I didn't know he wasn't getting enough to eat. I felt like a horrible mom. He is slowly getting chubbier and it suits him.

It is the same-old same-old with Alan and I. Work and work. Rarely we play. But I can't complain. We bought Alan a car this past weekend. It is a little piece of crap. A 2002 Hyundai Accent. The body and interior are in Fair condition but it runs well and is a manual transmission with pretty low miles. It will get good gas mileage and should last a while. Mostly I am greatful that we were able to pay for it in cash. We drink a lot of the Dave Ramsey Kool-aid around here. Now we have to start saving for when the Van dies once and for all. New things break daily, but it is still running, thank Heaven!
