Silent Nights!

This title does not refer to Christmas. It refers to the quality of my evenings after 8PM. I love Josh and Jackie, but the four of them were hard to get and more importantly KEEP in bed. Being back in a routine has been good for mommy. They sure did have a fun week though as I'm sure Kelly and Josh did in Germany. We went "camping" in the back yard (aka a fire in Alan's new fire pit) multiple times, rode scooters and skateboards, played games, went to the movies and mall with Colton, Jodie and Donovan and went to Chuck E Cheese. This seemed to be the favorite activity of the week. We ate a lot of pizza because Bashas is selling the large cheese pizzas for $4.99 right now. Good times. Kelly and Josh offered to watch ours for us if we ever want to get away. I'm sure they knew when offering that this was a safe deal. We won't be cashing in on that anytime soon. HEHE.

The pictures are of the kids outside on Christmas day riding skateboards and scooters and playing with the new bike video game that was given to us. They are smiling in this picture because Benjamin is asleep. Due to the amount of fighting that ensued over the bike while he was awake the rule quickly became that the game could only be played while Benjamin was napping. Works much better that way. Benjamin likes tiaras and necklaces. This is no secret. But I thought I would defend his masculinity. The necklace is often used as a weapon and his neck is the easiest place to carry it. Maybe I should get him a necklace holster? Lately the tiara is usually worn upside down and over one eye as shown in the picture. So he is really a "necklace whip" toting, "tiara-eye patch" wearing pirate. What's not masculine about that?

I must briefly comment on this week's season opener of the Bachelor. On the wings of love? Really? In the opening sequence they were doing a brief bio on Bachelor Jake who is a commercial airline pilot. The last 30 seconds of the spot were him riding along the beach on a motorcycle with an airplane flying off into the sunset behind him. Of course they chose the song "On the wings of love" for the background "mood-setter". The only mood it set for me was nausea! Gag me! That is an all time cheesy high. Even for the Bachelor. This will not keep me from watching this season though. The obviously fake drama of lies and deception promises to be bigger than WES from last season. You almost have to watch because you wonder how they can get worse than that!

I am liking the new look of the blog. It looks like you are doing better on your resolution to keep the blog updated more often, lets see how long it holds up...:)

I can't watch The Bachelor anymore. It's a train wreck and I get too upset-which means that I have invested too much emotionally. Never a good idea with reality TV.

I'm posting a comment so you know that I do regularly blog stalk you and I thoroughly enjoy it even if I don't always comment. I like the New Year's resolution.

By the way, because of you I am totally on the fence about the Bachelor: On the Wings of Love. I had made the decision not to watch it but just to foster our relationship, I might have to... just not with my children.

Love the great pitures, and I'm so jealous Kellie got to go to Germany :) I haven't been back for years. Hope you are doing well
