We had a nice Christmas. We had to wake the kids up at 8:30. Guess I should enjoy that while I can! They were so excited and got everything they wanted and then some. Thanks to those of you who sent gifts! After presents, Kelly and Josh and the kids came over for Christmas breakfast then I took them to the airport. They are in Germany on vacation right now, lucky ducks! Josh and Jackie are staying with us for 8 days while they are gone. It is a bit chaotic and crazy here and my house looks like a tornado hit it, but so far so good. On Christmas afternoon we played outside for a long time with the kids and their toys. Jackie and Josh got scooters and Benjamin got a skateboard and a basketball hoop. Alan really enjoys having some older kids to play with. By the end of the day everyone was pooped! Pretty standard for a Christmas. We missed having a big group of family around since it was basically just us this year. But it was nice to try and start some traditions of our own. On the 23rd, we went with my family and my neighbor to see the lights at the temple and hear the concert. And on the 24th we ate out for breakfast and dinner. That is a tradition that I definitely want to keep up :) Then Alan and I put the kids to bed and watched White Christmas while we "waited for Santa". Then on the day after Christmas a bunch of people got together to play soccer and have a BBQ. All in all an eventful weekend. Check the sidebar for some other Christmas pictures!
