FINALLY EMPLOYED!

For those of you who don't know, Alan got a job! He started yesterday. He is working for a company called EDMC that manages 3 different university's online programs. He is actually going to be in sales. It is kind of a glorified call center, but they aren't cold calls. Alan decided that if he really wanted to be a marketing exec. some day, then he better get some sales experience since most Marketing departments are actually Sales and Marketing departments. The job pays well and benefits are available starting right away. We feel very blessed right now.

Now lets talk about what is really important right now, CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. Every year it gets harder and harder for me to wait until Thanksgiving to set them out. I don't have very many and oh, how I long to go shopping and fill my home with green and red Christmas trinkets. But since we are broke this year and I don't think that my children would appreciate holiday ornamentation in lieu of presents, I have set up my small collection.

Next year I think it is time for a new tree. My little one is cute but it has definitely served it's purpose. It looks puny under my 9 foot ceilings. The picture of the exterior of my house is really hard to see, I know. But you have to believe me that it looks really good. I would have put up more lights but I ran out of outlets. The last thing I need is to catch my house on fire. I am going to make sure that my next home has multiple outdoor outlets. That way I can give Chevy Chase a run for his money!
