MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Well Christmas has come and gone. It is always a bit sad and a bit of a relief all at the same time. All of my brothers and sisters and their families were here. It was the first time we have all been together in I don't know how long. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins. We spent a lot of time eating and playing board games and chasing wild Havolina Pigs through the subdivision at Midnight. Yes, we really did that, it was quite exciting. The kids got the standard presents. Mostly stuff that cost less than a couple of bucks. Kimberly got a magnifying glass which she calls her "science kid" because she saw them use one on a PBS cartoon called Sid the Science Kid. Benjamin mostly got clothes and teething rings. Alan got some speakers for his MP3 player and a Zune Music Store gift card. I was actually surprised this year! For the first time since we have been married. I got a really sweet tool belt! It is pink leather and I look like a stud in it! Then we got a small air compressor and finish nail gun. Now comes the daunting task of taking down all of the decorations that I was so excited to put up. Yeah, that is way less exciting.

On another exciting note, I got a new calling last week. I was just made the 2nd (enrichment) counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. I was kind of surprised that my mother would call me to work with her. I was worried that people in the ward would think it was weird but I get the feeling it won't be too big of a deal. I guess there are a lot of extended families in our ward. Most of the Young Women's Presidency that just got released was related. Anyway, I am really excited because I think It will be a super fun calling and it will help me get to know people better.

Kimberly is busy being two. On sunday moring while she was eating breakfast, Kimberly decided to shove 6 cheerios up her nose. 4 on one side and 2 on the other. I missed all this because Alan was gracious enough to let me go back to bed since I got up early with the baby. I guess they were pretty hard to get out. Then when we were in Sacrament meeting, she sneezed and about half of another one came out. Maybe we will re-name her Homer when we find a crayon in her brain.
