Trip To WOOTAH

On the whole way to Utah, Benjamin kept asking if we were in Wootah yet? It was so cute that the state has been officially re-named in our home. The kids had so much fun that today they had a map and a compass and were "going on an adventure to wootah". Very adorable.

We mostly just hung out with everyone. Exactly how I like it. Not hurried or over planned, just spending time with everyone. We lounged around the house with Dave and Louise while the kids had free reign of the back yard. They played on the swings and the trampoline, ran through the garden chasing birds, helped feed the rabbits..... They were in heaven with so much space. Especially since it wasn't too hot to enjoy it. Alan and I doubled with Rick and Brenda which was fun and went over at night after the kids were all asleep to watch movies.

We spent a night at Brian & Callie's house. The picture shows Kimberly, Benjamin and Olivia enjoying what I like to refer to as "white trash swimming". There was a sizable sink hole in the yard so we threw down a tarp and filled it up like a pool. Then we put the toddler slide at the edge so they could side into the water. The kids thought that was great fun. It made me feel like I was living in an episode of "Raising Hope".

We stayed a night at Jason's house and everyone came up for a BBQ. We chatted till the wee hours of the morning. It was really nice to have Jared and Laura there. I am excited that we will have a better chance of seeing them more now.

And of course I fit in trips to the Oquirrh Mountain and Draper Temples. Two more to add to the list. We went the long route on the trip up and took the kids to the Manti Temple so they could see where we got married. Now every time Benjamin sees a big white-ish building he thinks it's a temple and asks if we are going to get married.

Maybe the most eventful part of vacation is that we bought a house. Yep, we bought it sight un-seen. It was pretty nerve racking. But I saw it come up in the MLS and it was so pretty I knew it would be gone by the time we bought it. We looked at it the night we came home and it just made me feel even better about the decision. I absolutely love it! I am so excited. If this one doesn't pan out I will be heart broken. Not to mention I will be likely to rip out all my hair.
Should be closing in a couple of weeks. So when we get in and it's all beautiful I'll post some pictures!

I so glad you guys came to Wootah. It was fun hang out and I of course enjoyed the eating that we did while hanging out too! You need to send me the pictures from white trash swimming. Should I be embarrassed that everyone enjoyed it so much or more embarrassed that we plan on doing it again?

Neither. Free FUN is nothing to be embarrassed about!!!
