Daniels Family Reunion
We had a blast over Thanksgiving! It was so good to see everyone. The weather stunk, but hey, I guess you can't have everything. The kids had a lot of fun with their cousins and playing in the snow. Being in the temple with everyone was awesome. It was such a special experience. Someday I hope I can be in the temple with all of my brothers and sisters.
The drive home was miserable. There was a blizzard and I-15 was shut down for a long time. The trip from Riverton to Las Vegas took us 12 1/2 hours! YIKES!!! But we made it home safe and sound, and all things considered, the kids were pretty well behaved.
Zachary is scheduled for surgery to fix his head this Friday. I am a nervous wreck. But I have prayed and fasted and just have to trust that Heavenly Father will protect him. The type of surgery is called a craniectomy. Sounds like they are going to chop off his head! We had to go do blood work today, and he didn't like that so much. It took 3 nurses. One to take the blood, one to hold him still and one to repeatedly dip his binki in sugar water so that he would calm down! It is a good thing he won't remember the surgery because he hated me for letting them stick a needle into his arm. I can't imagine how he will feel after I let some doctors cut his head open. :(
