AZ State Fair!

We went to the fair last Friday. It was opening day so the kids were all free and Alan and I got in for $1 each. Smoking deal right? Ha ha ha. We still ended up spending $75 dollars that night. But, we had a really good time. The kids got to ride the ponies, and we splurged on some rides. We did the farris wheel and then the kids got to do the kiddie swings and kiddie roller coaster. We went into this really cool dinosaur exhibit. They had about 30 or so robotic dinosaurs. Some of them were 30 or 40 feet tall. Then there was a movie about dinosaurs and a big sandbox where the kids could dig for fossils. And of course we had yummy fair food. Foot long corn dogs and Indian fry bread. Mmmmm! Zachary spent the night bound to my chest in the Snuggly. I don't get the same weird looks from people here in AZ that I did in UT for bringing my 2 1/2 week old out in public. Maybe that is because the weather is so warm here. Or maybe people in UT are more paranoid. The baby was a pretty good sport though. Up until the end when he got hungry. The kids had a blast but lucky for my pocketbook the fair only happens for a couple of weeks each year!

Funny Benjamin story. We had Family Home Evening last night and Benjamin said the opening prayer. This is the prayer he gave:
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this day, thank you for my gun, thank you for my sword.
Jesus, Amen
I already knew where Benjamin's priorities were, but now I guess GOD knows too! :)
On the bright side, at least I am starting to be able to understand what he is saying in his prayers!

Hahaha! I think maybe Benji was born into the wrong family. He and Little Josh belong together. And I'm sad about the fair. I wanted to go with you guys. But I'm glad you had fun!!

PS. Alan's beard is getting out of control. He should keep growing it until November 1st and then shave everything off but the stash since November is "Movember" the month dedicated to the growing of mustaches. No joke. It is. Look it up on wikipedia.

Great pictures, and the state fair sounds fun. I bet my boys would like it, but no kidding about the pocket book thing :) Hope you guys are doing well!
