Like my dear sis-in-law Callie, I too am enamored by the Bachelorette. It started as having a "girl crush" on Jillian last season. If I was a dude she would be my type. But I have now hit an all time low. After watching last night's episode online tonight, I was so sad that Michael left (though I knew it was inevitable) but way excited that Ed was back. So I started Google-ing the show. I read a ton of fan blogs - don't worry, I'm not that obsessed - (but the thought and research they put into those is amazing) and reading a bunch of spoilers. Spoilers are just what the title claims them to be. Blurbs speculating or claiming to know what is going to happen in subsequent episodes. Then I stumbled on to some hollywood gossip pages where people were talking about how obvious it is that this season must be at least partially scripted. And that perhaps people like Wes were paid to portray the "villian" role for better ratings or some guys being guaranteed spots in the top four. Or that Kypton is slated to be the next Bachelor. My search ended with finding Jillian's post-show blog on People.com, which apparantly she updates after each show airs. On this blog she gives her thoughts about what happened during that episode and how seeing what we see makes her a lot more understanding of some of the comments she gets about "being a freakin' idiot".
Ok, so my point of this whole blog is that I am out of control! I actually posted a comment on her blog tonight! The worst thing is that I posted it with advice...............like she's actually going to read it. Oh and FYI, I was posting #288, and they only dated back through June 30th.
What can I say? Reality TV is my Achilies Heel. Even if the "reality" part isn't real at all, it sure is entertaining!
