BITTER-SWEET

Well, yesterday's news was happy and sad. Shane got a job! Which is great, except that now he and Cara and Sydney are moving.........to Seattle! In like a week! I am super bummed. I move to Arizona where I can finally live close to my family and my bum sister decides to move! :( But I am happy that they have such a great opportunity. At least I got a few good photo opps while they were here. (See bathtub photo)

I was inspired by Laura's blog. I wish I could do half of those neat things with Kimberly's hair. But alas, Kimberly has significantly less hair than Erin and exponentially less patience. Shown above is what I was able to pull out while she was mesmerized by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Maybe someday she'll have enough hair to braid it or something fun. Also, we need to work on Kimberly's ability to pose for the camera. I say smile, but she won't do it until after the flash goes off.

Benjamin is getting so big. He and Kimberly love to play together. He is also becoming more of a baby and less of an infant. He is quite persistent when he wants something. He has this horrible screech that sounds like what I'd imagine a baby Tara dactyl would sound like. He is already getting frustrated that he can't move around the way he would like to. However, he has finally grasped the concept of reaching out to grab things. That is nice because he has toys that hang from his car seat and that keeps him occupied while we are driving. And he drank his whole bottle this morning while holding it himself! That is a happy moment!

Alan's business trip got canceled this week. He was a little disappointed but I wasn't. I would have had nothing to do while he was gone. So far he seems to like his job, but I think he is a little bored this week since his boss is gone and there weren't a lot of projects set aside for him to do because he was supposed to be in Houston.

I got a calling. I bet you can't guess what. Ok, you probably can. I was called to be a teacher in the Relief Society. I know....shocker! (If you can't sense my sarcasm in writing, then you don't know me well enough.) I was kind of hoping for something different but at least I enjoy doing it. All but two of my callings have been either teaching Relief Society or Gosple Doctrine. I dropped hints like crazy (in front of the right people even) that I wanted to be put in the primary. Oh well. Alan has mentioned that he wants to be the primary pianist. Maybe he'll have better luck!
